Samant Veer Kakkar
Mr. Samant Veer Kakkar is an Associate Fellow at the UNSSC, Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development in Bonn and works primarily on multi-stakeholder partnerships, South-South Cooperation and role of Big Data in sustainable Development. In the past he has worked for the Sustainable Development Goals Fund at the UNDP Headquarters in New York and led critical efforts for the Indian Government’s Aadhaar Unique ID programme. He designed and implemented rejuvenation strategies and the fund raising campaign for India’s leading Economic Policy think tank, NCAER. Samant has also worked as an adviser on EU law and with the European Parliament’s Committee on Development.
He is particularly interested in the role technology plays in development and entrepreneurship, and local innovations to solve public policy challenges. He holds Master’s degrees in European Law from the University of Rouen in France and International Affairs from Columbia University, New York.
