Natalia Galat, Learning Portfolio Manager at the UNSSC Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development, has received a prestigious Teaching Excellence Award from IE University of Spain – a reflection of the quality of instruction offered by UNSSC.

“We are happy to award you a diploma that recognizes your teaching excellence in the 2019-20 academic year,” said Salvador Carmona, IE University Rector-Dean of Faculty. “Thank you very much again for your contribution to make IE an outstanding institution.”

The award recognizes Natalia’s hard work as a faculty member of teaching a results-based management course — which is part of the UNSSC-IE joint Master in International Development — and for her work to shape the Master around the vision for the 2030 Agenda.

“I am very proud to have contributed to creating future leaders in sustainable development,” said Natalia. “I am especially grateful to the students – it has been a very rewarding experience. Thank you for letting me share my UN-sustainable development, results-based-management passion with you!”

The award was based on votes from students who took her courses in the IE School of Global and Public Affairs. Natalia received a digital piece of art created by the artist Daniel Canogar, an IE faculty member at the School of Architecture and Design.
