The United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) is pleased to announce the consolidation of a partnership agreement with the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Association a global network of institutions from academia, civil society, and the private sector that mobilises scientific and technological expertise to promote practical problem-solving for sustainable development.

This alliance is driven to design a comprehensive foundational online course to assist the UN system and development practitioners in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. As a result, the first edition of the Foundational Course on the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development will be offered in May. The course will introduce UN staff and development practitioners to key conceptual and practical aspects of the 2030 Agenda; the means of implementation and best approaches for its localisation; and the role of data in the review and follow-up framework of the new development agenda.

Today, as the world joins efforts to implement the 2030 Agenda, the College, through the creation of the its Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development, is committed to the delivery of up-to-date learning, training, and knowledge-management support on the new Sustainable Development Agenda.

Given the aspirational nature of the 2030 Agenda, the Staff College is certain that a comprehensive learning package on Sustainable Development will provide the UN system and development partners with the right tools to foster coherence, coordination and integration in the implementation and localisation of the new Sustainable Development Agenda.
