UNSSC is pleased to announce its upcoming event SD Talks Global: Eradicating Poverty Through Education on 5 April 2017 at 1:15 pm CEST in Haus Carstanjen, Bonn (Germany). Organised by the UNSSC Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development as part of its SD Talks initiative, the event will feature Dr. Achyuta Samanta, founder of the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, where he will talk about his experiences in tackling poverty through education and women's empowerment. This event is free and open to all. The event is expected to last for slightly over an hour which will include a live Q&A session with the speaker.

Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences is one of the largest free residential institutes providing education, food, and accommodation to over 25,000 indigenous (tribal) children in India.
