The United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) is pleased to announce the Sustainable Development Leaders Scholarship, which is available for staff members of the United Nations accepted into the Master in International Development programme. Launched jointly with the IE School of Global and Public Affairs (IEGPA), this world-class programme is designed for professionals who want to address the complex challenges highlighted by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

We are looking for exceptional candidates who are passionate about using their insights to make a difference, understand complexity, and assume higher levels of responsibility after graduation.

The Master in International Development has a total tuition of 33,200 EUR, including the cost of the one-week immersion experience. There are four scholarships available to cover 80% of the tuition for each student.

How to apply:

  • Apply to the Master in International Development, 24 hours after submission of the application, you will be eligible to apply for the Sustainable Development Leaders Scholarship through IE’s Financial Aid Department.
  • - Be a current or former United Nations staff member, or national/international UN Volunteer.
  • - Have an outstanding academic record and/or relevant professional experience.
  • - Demonstrate leadership qualities and outstanding achievements in your personal and professional life.
  • - Demonstrate an international outlook and a strong commitment to sustainable development.
  • - Be fluent in English.
