In the second quarter of 2019, the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) and the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) hosted a SSAFE Review Workshop in Turin, Italy. The three-day workshop brought together training and security focal points from across the UN System. As a result of feedback from the workshop, a revised SSAFE training curriculum was developed consisting of six modules with a new set of learning objectives.
The UNDSS-UNSSC SSAFE team will be hosting two webinars. During the first webinar (a) the revised SSAFE modules and learning objectives will be presented and explained to participants. During the second webinar (b) participants will learn how to navigate the SSAFE trainer learning management system (LMS) and trainer & participant database.
There is no fee for the initial SSAFE update webinars. Your sign-up will be confirmed as quickly as possible after the closing date. The volume of requests will need to be tallied to ensure that each webinar is not oversubscribed. If there is significant demand, additional webinars may be offered. The initial webinars will be recorded and shared through the SSAFE trainer platform to maximize access for all SSAFE trainers and interested managers.
Details of the webinars are as follows:
