Alanna Lynch

Alanna Lynch (1978, Vancouver, Canada) is a multidisciplinary artist with a background in biology and textiles. She works with living organisms and tissues. Her current research focuses on wider notions of symbiosis, challenging canonic classification of life, and fostering contamination, vulnerability, gut intuition, and embodied knowledge.

Lynch’s solo exhibitions include Anwesenheit, Galerie Historischer Keller, Berlin (2022); Dissident Matter, Modul Gallery Kersnikova Institute, Ljubljana (2021). Her work has been featured in group exhibitions such as Chthonic Spoil, Banff Centre for the Arts, Banff (2022); 1000 Ecologies, Bâtiment d’Art Contemporain, Geneva (2019), amongst others.
