Dr. Yene Assegid, a recognized leadership practitioner, currently with Corporate Learning Solutions “CLS”. With 27 years of experience in this field, she provides leadership capacity building, in the greater sense, for organisation in the private and public sector, international NGOs, Trade Union Federations (+15 countries) and UN agencies especially UNDP, UNAIDS and UNICEF.
Yene has a talent for working with a wide range of individuals. Her ability to genuinely relate to people creates a safe environment, enabling effective learning at all levels of management. She has a natural understanding of the global mindset, including the impact of cross-cultural dynamics, emotional intelligence on leadership expression; change management and team building, in an increasingly diverse work environment. She is a motivational speaker and a published author with three books and numerous articles.
Born in Ethiopia, Yene was educated in Europe in the French educational system and completed all her University studies in the United States. She earned her MBA from the University of Maryland and her PhD from the California Institute of Integral Studies, with a dissertation research on Transformational Leadership and Human System. She is a member of the International Coaching Federation and holds a “Master Certified Coach (MCC)” accreditation ranking her among the top 4% worldwide of accredited coaches. In 2018, Yene was featured in the “200 Women” book for her work in leadership development worldwide.
