Dr. Robert M. Anderson
Robert Anderson has a strong background in the field of leadership development, communication and partnership building. As an adjunct professor at Columbia University, he has taught introductory and advanced courses in conflict resolution and communication since 2002.
Having worked with many leading international organizations, he has created leadership and communication programs and delivered them globally, adapting the content and approach of the programs to the local contexts and learning styles. He has worked extensively with international organizations such as the United Nations and the Asian Development Bank, and banking industry. For over 25 years, he has worked with clients in 30 countries throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, and North and South America. He has conducted training programs in French, Portuguese, and Spanish in addition to his native English.
Born and raised in land-locked Minnesota, Dr. Anderson first developed his interest in international work when he spent a year in Argentina as a foreign exchange student. He then went on to earn his B.A. and M.A. in Spanish from Oberlin College and the University of Michigan, respectively. He holds the degree of Doctor of Education in adult learning from Teachers College, Columbia University.
