Davar Ardalan
<p>Ms.<strong> Davar Ardalan</strong> is a former NPR News journalist and current Director of Storytelling & Engagement at SecondMuse.</p>
<p>At SecondMuse, Davar leads system storytelling around citizen science, ocean conservation, humanitarian disaster relief, materials innovation and big data and engages a wide audience by using new communication technologies like virtual reality. She has developed storytelling strategy campaigns for partners such as NASA, Nike Inc., USAID, The Australian Aid programme, and The World Bank. </p>
<p>Previously, Davar was the Senior Producer and Social Media Strategist for NPR’s Identity and Culture Unit and received an Ellis Island Medal of Honor for individual achievement and for promoting cultural unity</p>
<p>Davar Ardalan is the author of the memoir <em>My Name Is Iran: A century of family tales from two beloved but divided homelands, Iran and America</em>.</p>
<p>Ardalan is also the co-chair of the global VRAR Associations Stories and Audiences Committee.</p>
