Britta Gade

<p>Britta Gade is a Carlo Schmid Fellow at the UNSSC’s Peace, Security and Humanitarian Action team. Prior to joining the UNSSC, she worked as a Program Officer at the German Council on Foreign Relations and collected work experience at the German Mission to the United Nations in New York. Graduated in political science at Free University Berlin and currently finishing her master’s degree in International Security at Sciences Po Paris, her area of expertise includes non-traditional security threats such as organized crime, non-state armed groups and urban insecurity as well as the nexus between security and development. Her fellowship with the UNSSC is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Mercator Foundation and the German Academic Scholarship Foundation.</p>
