Join your colleagues at the annual Learning Managers Forum, a dedicated event for learning professionals from within the UN system as well as from other international organizations.

Introduction

This annual gathering brings together all those responsible for learning, training and staff development in United Nations agencies, funds and programmes as well as other international organizations.

To deliver on their mandate effectively and thrive in complex, rapidly changing environments, the UN and international organizations must equip and empower their associates and leaders with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to navigate these complexities effectively. The learning and staff development function has a critical role to play in this process – this is especially true given the immense scale of change and transition we have experienced in recent months on account of the ongoing global health crisis.

The Learning Managers Forum 2024 will be a blended event, bringing together all those responsible for learning, training and staff development in United Nations agencies, funds and programmes as well as other international organizations, with the aim of fostering a spirit of collaboration and partnership within the learning community, and to move the learning agenda for the UN System forward.

Objectives

The Learning Managers Forum will:

  1. Expose you to novel, innovative approaches to learning and professional development, with a focus on making the transition from both within and outside the UN system;
  2. Serve as a forum for strategic discussions to enable you to contribute to formulating a common learning agenda among UN agencies and other international organizations;
  3. Provide you with the opportunity to network and collaborate with colleagues from across the UN System and beyond.
